Due to growth in our Fabrication team, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join the Fabrication team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for assisting Boilermakers with the efficient fabrication and welding of RME-manufactured equipment to a high standard of workmanship and safety. This role will incorporate a wide and varied range of tasks which will be performed on an as-needed basis.
What we’re looking for:
Strong interpersonal skills, such as the ability to positively contribute to the workplace culture, take direction, respond positively to feedback, and be proactive in seeking advice, and the ability to work respectfully in a team environment are critical to success in this role.To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience as a Trades Assistant;

What’s the role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Western Australia team on a permanent, full-time basis, based in Perth (or surrounds).
In this role, you will travel to mine sites (domestically) to support our assets by commissioning new machines, performing maintenance on current machines in the field as well as training Customer mine site personnel on the RME suite of technologies that may be fitted to their machines.
You will maintain the continued relationships with our Customers by identifying their needs and liaising with our sales team to ensure the best outcomes.
As you will be the “face of RME” on Customer sites and be essential in building relationships with key stakeholders, well developed written and spoken communication skills are essential for this role.

Most FIFO roles require you to work 180+ days, but at RME, employees may choose total annual days of work between 125-150 days. This means you are able to create a work life balance that suits you!

What’s the role?
Due to career growth in our Fabrication area, there is now an opportunity to join the Fabrication Team as a Boilermaker on a permanent, full-time, basis.
Boilermakers are part of a safety focussed and motivated team, responsible for the efficient fabrication and welding of RME’s innovative Mill Relining equipment. Boilermakers must have a genuine interest in manufacturing high-quality, high-performance, specialised machines. The team have a wealth of experience to offer with many having been here for over 10 years.
Overtime is regularly available, with the opportunity for up to 3 hours per day and the occasional Saturday, although this may vary from time to time. Working hours are flexible due to an adjustable start time, this can afford you the option to finish each Friday by 11am.
What are we looking for?

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Asset Support team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Mechanical Engineer will be part of the Asset Support Engineering team, which works closely with RME’s Regional Service Centres to quote, design and deliver equipment updates, support for major machine overhauls and RME’s in-field Technicians. Often they be required to respond expeditiously to situations that affect our Customers’ maintenance shutdowns. Working with legacy designs and data, the Mechanical Engineer must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with often incomplete information to deliver quality outcomes for our customers’ assets.
The Mechanical Engineer will also be required to produce documentation that supports the sustainment and upgrade of RME’s In-Service Equipment. Such documentation may include Commercial Offers, FEA Reports, detailed calculation sheets and Engineering Reports. Having demonstrated experience in a 3D CAD environment the Mechanical Engineer will carry out design and produce detailed drawings required to progress any given part or assembly from concept to ready for manufacture.
The Mechanical Engineer will be required to plan and perform professional engineering work with minimal detailed supervision. Some guidance from a Senior Engineer or an Engineering Team Leader would be required on the more unusual or challenging aspects of any given task.

There is now an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the Asset Support team on a permanent, full-time basis.

There is now exciting opportunities for multiple Graduate Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineers to join the Engineering team on a permanent full-time basis in our new Graduate Program.
The Engineering team provides a key role in ensuring RME’s engineering outputs are fit for consumption and provide value to our Customers. The team’s remit is to generate designs which enable the sale, manufacture, service and support of RME’s product offerings.

There is now a new exciting opportunity for a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician [MH1] to join the Fabrication team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The NDT Technician’s major purpose is to coordinate and provide the highest quality testing, comprehensive inspection and detailed reporting services across RME’s suite of products. They will keep up to date with the latest industry standards, maintaining policies and procedures, and safety standards.
The NDT Technician will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the collaboration across departments, teams and vendors to have testing and reports completed to the highest standards and in an acceptable timeframe. They will keep equipment, required for testing, in good working order and coordinate the maintenance or updating of this equipment as required.
