Global Fabrication and Machining Manager
Matt Holland is Russell Mineral Equipment’s Global Fabrication and Machining Manager. Matt provides guidance across the fabrication phase of the manufacturing and production process of RME’s bespoke RUSSELL Mill Relining Machines – leading-class technology which significantly improves grinding mill productivity, safety, and profitability for RME’s Customers around the world.
Matt’s team provides the capability necessary to deliver RME machined parts and components suitable for coating and assembly. As manager, Matt provides team leadership, drives performance and processes to meet organisational objectives, and ensures work is delivered in full and on time (DIFOT) to stakeholders internally and Customers externally. Additionally, Matt makes certain the group is compliant with Customer order and service contracts, production schedules, cost and quality standards – all whilst striving for a zero harm safety culture.
Matt is a passionate and technically-strong leader whom RME has relied upon since 2006 when he first joined the team as a Boilermaker. After a solid grounding in fabrication and machining, Matt stepped up to role of Fabrication Supervisor in 2011, a position he held until promotion to his role of Fabrication and Machining Manager in 2016 and then Global Fabrication and Machining Manager in 2020.
Matt’s career began in his home country of New Zealand where he completed his trade as a Fitter and Welder. Following a move to Australia in 2003 he continued his boilermaker trade working for a number of heavy steel engineering and fabrication companies in Sydney. Matt also worked as a Boilermaker for Wagners, Toowoomba-based construction services company and another regional QLD business success story.
Matt holds a Certificate IV in Engineering gained in 2015, a Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing in 2011 and attained a Diploma of Management in 2015.
