Group Project Manager, Value Stream Delivery
Wayne Herberston is Russell Mineral Equipment’s Group Project Manager, Value Stream Delivery and responsible for managing the entire Customer project schedule across all RME functions, from order acceptance through to delivery, site install and commissioning.
Wayne’s role essentially provides the ‘glue’ across the entire customer order project stream – which is the timely flow of actionable information between business development, sales, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, warehousing, contract administration, commercial procurement, supply and project owner.
Wayne’s disciplined and logical approach to getting things done ensures the business is executing to a repeatable, systemised approach to order, build and delivery. The outcome for RME is the optimisation and minimisation of cost of goods, and the safe delivery of RME Mill Relining products in full, and on time, to the end customer.
Wayne is an experienced general manager with more than 20 years proven practice with multinational organisations in the engineering, electronic, manufacturing and energy sectors including Bradken, BHP Steel and Siemens Australia. He sees himself as an organisational architect, and his ability partner and connect with all facets of the RME business; executives, sales, engineering, manufacturing, assembly and more, ensures he can deliver to RME business strategy and objectives through commercially-focused people and process strategies.
Wayne also brings strong safety capability to RME. He is a thought-leader in workplace health and safety management having authored and published “The Practical Safety Guide to Zero Harm: How to Effectively Manage Safety in the Workplace” which has sold over 20,000 copies world-wide.
