Key Account Manager
Scott Gibson joined Russell Mineral Equipment team in 2013 in the role of Key Account Manager and working as an essential member of RME’s sales capability supporting the company’s objectives for sustainable sales growth and profitability.
Scott’s role is a highly-collaborative one. Firstly, he works alongside RME’s Business Development Managers to build trusted relationships with mine sites, mill operators, liner manufacturers, EPCMs and engineering consultancies, helping them to uncover new ways to make their relines, faster and safer with RME’s world-leading Mill Relining System and optimisation programs. Scott will also work on requests for proposals, tenders, and respond to technical, commercial and legal items to ensure \ every order placed is a win for the client, as well as for RME.
Additionally, Scott also partners internally with RME’s technical, engineering, and commercial teams here in Australia and regional centres around the world to ensure strong alignment of business and project delivery goals and customers’ supply expectations.
Scott’s strong experience in sales, product and business development came from a variety of hands-on and strategic advisory roles throughout his career. He was Export Advisor with Trade Queensland, helping local businesses take their products to world markets – expertise highly-beneficial to RME. Scott also ran his own agricultural consultancy business personally supporting his client’s success over a number of years. He was also a Global Business Manager for Advanta India Ltd, global producer of specialty products, seed and agrochemicals and Acting General Manager of Advanta US Inc. A long tenure with Pacific Seeds, Australia's leading broadacre seed brand, in Business Management, National Sales and Product Development also provided a solid foundation for a strong career. Scott has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Rural Technology from the University of Queensland Gatton College.
