Key Account Manager
John Cole is a Key Account Manager for Russell Mineral Equipment and an integral member of the sales operation that works collectively to deeply diagnose its customer’s challenges and develop highly-engineered solutions that increase mill reline safety, productivity, mine site profitability and reduce occupational risk.
John’s role provides support to the business development team through the detailed compilation and preparation of comprehensive commercial offers for capital equipment, as well as responding to Customer requests for proposals and tenders. This means ensuring that the scope of the offer is consistent with RME Customers’ requirements and demonstrates strong commercial and safety value.
As a Key Account Manager, John is as a trusted advisor to RME’s mineral processing Customers and works collaboratively with mining engineering companies as a funnel for the flow of information between various parts of the RME business, project stakeholders and the end user. John’s ability to also partner internally – with the engineering, procurement, technical, finance, shipping and export teams – ensures sales alignment with project delivery goals, Customer supply expectations, and supports RME’s objectives to create sustainable growth and profitability.
John joined to RME in 2018 after an extraordinary 30 year tenure with Telstra Corporation Limited, Australia's largest telecommunications company. As a result of his experiences and time at Telstra, John developed and perfected his deep understanding of commercial sales and strong strategic and operational account management capability. John’s final 10 years with Telstra were in district and regional sales manager roles in South East Queensland.
